MANILA, 1 October 2021 – Combining beauty, intelligence and passion, Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City wowed the judges to unanimously win the prestigious Ms. Universe Philippines 2021 crown.

A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Beatrice’s confident answer to the Top 5 Q & A sealed her fate in the pageant. “I will never give up and inspire others by rising to the problems that I am encountering, and by inspiring them that whatever you’re going through, you will be able to overcome it”, she said.

Beatrice who bested 27 other Ms. Universe Philippines hopefuls will receive round trip tickets for 2 to all AirAsia destinations for one year.

The 25-year old Cebuana beauty will represent the Philippines in the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Israel this December.

Meanwhile, Pangasinan’s Maureen Christa Wroblewitz who earlier received the Ms. AirAsia special award was also crowned first runner-up.

The 23-year-old model who was also the first Filipina to win the Asia’s Next Top Model competition was chosen among all candidates because of her advocacy in improving the lives of other people while inspiring them to ‘get out of their comfort zone’.

She will receive one-year unlimited flights to any AirAsia destinations to help her promote her advocacies.  She will also become AirAsia’s ambassador for a year.

Aside from providing unlimited trips, AirAsia Philippines is also committed to partner, support and promote the advocacies of the reigning queen as well that of Ms. AirAsia Philippines.

The 2021 Ms. Universe Philippines title holders are set to visit the AirAsia Red Point headquarters for a courtesy call upon their return to Manila.
