SINGAPORE, 13 May 2020 - From 16 May 2020, AirAsia will move all of its operations to Changi Airport’s Terminal 1 (T1) from its current location at Terminal 4. This is due to the temporary suspension of Terminal 4 by Changi Airport Group (CAG).

Affected guests will be notified of this change through email and SMS once our services to and from Singapore are reinstated. They will also receive a new flight itinerary by email. 

The move also includes the following adjustments:

• Check-in kiosks in Terminal 1, Departure Hall, Row 09

• Self check-in baggage system located at Row 09 

• Service Counter at Row 10

Even as terminal operations are scaled down during this period, AirAsia will work closely with CAG to be well prepared to resume operations once again as soon as a sufficient number of flights return to the terminal.

 In view of the enhanced precautionary measures against Covid-19 by Changi Airport, guests are advised to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to the departure time and adjust their travel plans accordingly. Check-in for all flights will be closed 1 hour before departure time. Self-check-in kiosks are also available up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time. 

For guest convenience, AirAsia strongly encourages all travellers to perform self check-in online and print their boarding passes before coming to the airport. Online check-in is available from 14 days prior and up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time on airasia.com or AirAsia mobile apps. 

All guests are encouraged to update their contact details to ensure they are notified of any updates to their flights. Guests should also check their flight status at airasia.com/flightstatus for live updates.

Changi Terminal 1 is about 20 kilometres from the city centre and is easily accessible by public transportation such as bus, MRT and taxi. The terminal’s arrival hall is interconnected To Jewel Changi Airport.
