AirAsia India urges you to dare to dream, launches the #DareToDream campaign

BENGALURU, 14 August 2017 - Ahead of India’s 71st Independence Day, AirAsia India, has
launched the #DareToDream digital campaign in line with its brand promise ‘Now Everyone
Can Fly’. #DareToDream as a theme is depicted in an engaging film that went live today
and will be aired across the brand’s social media platforms - Facebook and YouTube.

Through this campaign, AirAsia India reiterates its culture of celebrating individuality and not
be bound by stereotypes. The film follows the struggles of a young entrepreneur, who decides to follow his entrepreneurial dreams, as against joining his father’s business. It goes on to show how he succeeds in his venture, despite the struggle and hardship that comes with the choice that he made. Focused on establishing itself as an airline of choice, AirAsia India presents a modern-day scenario of today’s youth, one that believes in their dreams and aspires to make them come true.

Commenting on the campaign, Amar Abrol, MD & CEO, AirAsia India said, “This Independence Day, we would like to pay tribute to all the entrepreneurs who dare to dream. #DareToDream is our fourth digital campaign this year and we are continuously working towards making AirAsia a truly digital airline and enabling every Indian to fly hassle-free”.

Commenting on the project, Durgesh Tanna, Creative Director, Circus Elephants said, “The bond between the brands "AirAsia"; and "Circus Elephants" just gets better with patriotic days. We did the film "Udd Chala" for Republic day and now the film #DareToDream. The slice of life story is inspired by real life stories that I personally have known. The struggle is on multiple levels; emotional, financial, social and above all internal. But it’s the belief in yourself that makes you dare to dream what others can't. The story takes you through the same journey. The most challenging bit was to write the four line jingle that would depict both "Khud pe gar tu kar bharosa kuchh bhi tu kar payega" - the dare to dream of a start-up and "Udne ki koshish to kar tu asmaan juk jaayega" - the support of the best low cost airline to make their dreams come true by making travel more convenient and affordable. We thank team AirAsia once again for investing their absolute faith in us”.

Sharing their experience of working with AirAsia on this project, Ritesh Shastri, Business
Director, Circus Elephants
, said, “Every time we get a brief from AirAsia it's a busy house. We had three campaigns rolling out on Independence Day. However, the clarity in the brief and objectivity of AirAsia team helps us nail the communication like no other. This is our fifth association with the brand and by now, the expectations set are sky high. We, the AirAsia and Circus Elephants team, think in sync at the same frequency and that helps us create a communication that resonates with the persona and philosophy of the brand. We're glad to have clients like AirAsia who challenge us every time with unique brief and trust us for making it through”.

As a part of the Independence Day campaign, AirAsia India is also running an interesting contest on its Facebook page. The contest, in line with the #DareToDream theme, will provide entrepreneurs, who have taken risks and achieved their dreams, a platform to narrate their stories to the world. The contest will be open from 18th August to 25th August 2017 and the winner would be announced on 6th September 2017. The winner will stand a chance to win electronic gift voucher which they can use to redeem flights on AirAsia’s domestic network in India.
