Anupama Jangid, Head, Marketing, AirAsia India named “The Digital Marketer of the year” by IAMAI

BENGALURU, 14 December 2017 - Anupama Jangid, Head, Marketing, AirAsia India has
been honored as the Digital Marketer of the Year in the Travel Category, by the Internet and
Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).

Anupama heads the marketing department at AirAsia India and has been responsible for
driving the growth story of AirAsia in India and building a brand that is trying to transform
the overall experience of low-cost flying. She comes with a diverse experience, working on
Business Strategy, E-commerce Sales & Strategy, Product Launch, Product Management,
Brand & Marketing Communication and Performance marketing with a very strong
overarching expertise in digital.

Anupama has been instrumental in the launch of some interesting campaigns like “Ab Udna
hai Aasaan campaign”, “Dotcom brand campaign – One Destination for All Destinations”,
“Women’s Day Campaign”, “Independence Day Campaign” to name a few . Her efforts have
been instrumental in achieving some exemplary ecommerce sales figures. The company has
witnessed 63.3 % jump in users, 37 % jump in flight searches, and 53.5 % bookings on
airasia.com and the mobile app. There has been 85% growth in app downloads and
AirAsia’s total app base in India currently stands at 1.4 million, far ahead of other low-cost
carriers in India, despite the others holding a greater market share.
